Tudela, March 18, 2025

Councilor of Sustainable Urban Planning Zeus Pérez and Health Area Manager Ana Campillo have visited the new bio-healthy space created in an adjacent pine forest next to the Reina Sofía Hospital (next to the Hemodialysis Area), with access from the wooden walkway. They were accompanied by the Head of Economic Management and General Services, Esther Eraso; by the Head of Citizen Services, Santiago Urmeneta, and by the Director of Sustainable Urban Development Area of the Tudela City Council, Eduardo Erro Landa.

This intervention is part of a humanization project in the hospital environment aimed at offering an outdoor space that contributes to physical, mental, and social well-being. In this context, a healthy walking circuit of one kilometer with strengthening exercises was enabled a few months ago by students of CIP ETI and the El Castillo Foundation.

This new action, carried out by municipal construction workers, involved cleaning and adapting the area, removing concrete posts, providing a gravel base, executing foundations, and subsequently installing three benches and four outdoor exercise machines (elliptical, leg press, arms, and rowing).

The cost of the adaptation amounted to about 7,200 euros. Specifically, 4,088.59 euros accounted for recreational elements and around 2,500 euros for civil works and installation.

The supply of these machines, which were delivered assembled last December, is included in the contract for the renewal of playgrounds in Tudela for the year 2024, awarded to the company SUMALIM, S.L., for an amount of 136,960.72 euros, including VAT.
