Club Atlético Osasuna earned a point in their visit to Butarque after drawing (1-1) against Leganés. Herrando put the rojillo team ahead, but Raba scored from a penalty in the final moments of the match to equalize.
The first half started evenly, with both teams trying to reach the opponent’s goal with plays on the wings. Juan Cruz had two long-range shots, and Tapia had a powerful shot for the home team, while Moncayola tried from outside the area for Osasuna, saved by Dmitrovic. As the minutes passed, Osasuna improved on the field and posed more danger in the local area. Budimir had a clear chance with a shot from close range, but the Leganés goalkeeper cleared it off the line. Lucas Torró scored to make it 0-1, but the goal was disallowed for an alleged offside that VAR images did not confirm. The Croatian forward had another great opportunity with a chest control and shot inside the area, but the ball grazed the post. In the last play of the first half, Sergio Herrera had to make a good save from a header by Sergio G. from a set piece.
In the second half, Osasuna again threatened the Leganés goal and won several corners. This led to the 0-1 goal. Catena flicked the ball at the near post, and Herrando finished at the far post to put the rojillos ahead. The team managed by Vicente Moreno continued to control the game and had a great chance to increase the lead. Dmitrovic saved Rubén García’s powerful shot, who then passed to Budimir, but the defense cleared the Croatian’s shot for a corner. Leganés pushed forward and pinned Osasuna in their area with continuous attacks, which were repelled by both Sergio Herrera and the rojillo defense. However, in the final minutes of the match, Raba equalized from a penalty.
With this point, Osasuna has 35 points after thirty matchdays in LALIGA EA SPORTS. The next match for the rojillos will be on Sunday, April 13, at 14:00, at El Sadar against Girona.
