This will be complemented by support for the processing of aids (especially those specific aids that are launched annually by the city council) and the creation and consolidation of new businesses. In addition, generational turnover will be promoted so that the «traditional» businesses remain open and operational, so advice and monitoring will be given especially in those businesses where the people running them are close to retirement age.

Another area of work is digital transformation, through the app of the commerce of Ribera de Navarra (SOMOSRIBERA), with a directory of all the city councils of Ribera de Navarra, businesses and local producers (which in 2025 will include those located in towns with more than 5000 inhabitants). The aim is to inform all citizens about the different businesses, itinerant commercial markets (with their location, products, schedules, day…), product fairs, trade fairs…

There will also be the possibility of placing online orders with registered businesses. Businesses in Tudela will be advised on the use of the app, and Consorcio EDER will register those businesses that are interested. On the other hand, the possibilities that the application has from the point of view of the city council (raffles, dissemination of activities…) will be explained and offered to the technical staff of the city council.

Another line of action is supply and traceability, through the implementation of a pilot project that will consist of the implementation of «vending machine» type machines for local products and km 0 crafts, with an automated and secure sales and payment system, with the aim of facilitating direct sales to the final customer by small producers in the area. Different local producers will be offered the opportunity to open a new sales channel through these vending machines.

Also, another axis of intervention is the implementation of a training and awareness program for traders, on topics related to digital marketing, new business models, waste management and circular economy, energy efficiency, digital transformation… in addition to a campaign to raise awareness for consumption of local commerce.

On the other hand, Consorcio EDER will promote and support the commercial association initiatives of the locality, participating and promoting participatory tables or initiatives that are launched by the city council.

This project reinforces the strategy of Consorcio EDER initiated in 2021, which seeks to strengthen the business ecosystems of Ribera de Navarra, a strategic project included in the Comarcal Strategy for Smart and Sustainable Specialization of Ribera de Navarra, where the commerce sector of the territory plays a prominent role, with the key objective of improving the competitiveness of the commerce sector at an economic, environmental, and social level.
